Hi I'm Mike from Garston South Liverpool,im 60 and my interest in railways goes back to my childhood.

I used to live near Allerton Depot as a kid, and was regularly at the depot and nearby station when given the opportunity, where i would see early AC electrics shunters and class 40s and 25s and that is where my passion started. I would of loved to have worked on the railway, but instead went into the Merchant Navy where i worked for 24 years,as well as several other jobs over the years.

I used to meet up at Acton Bridge with many other guys from Warrington on Tuesdays years later, but don't see them so much anymore ,and now go on my own where I enjoy taking photographs.

I love Acton Bridge and the rural nature of the place,and the many locations to be had,with opportunities for photography around that area.
