Born in Southern California and kept moving north until we wound up here in San Luis Obispo County in 1993. Been taking pictures for fun since I got my first camera, a Brownie, when I was still in school. Now, 70 years later, I use my Android Galaxy Note9 and my Canon PowerShot SX410 IS.

I try to keep my photostream varied, without too many photos from the same location or subject in a row. I do try to store photos that have similar subjects or locations in my albums to make it easy for those looking for something special. That's how I tend to search and I often go through albums of interest when I visit a profile.

I don't do much editing except to crop and resize. Occasionally I use PicMonkey or another program to add text or make collages or change exposrure. But mostly what I see is what you get. Recently I became a DDG Dreamer. I still have a lot to learn about how AI works to manipulate photos there.

My favorite subject is nature, especially trees and the sky. I even photograph the weeds to help me study them. I also like to keep track of changes in my city of Paso Robles and the rest of my local area as businesses come and go. And that includes the vineyards that surround our Templeton property. I love photographing the vineyards during all seasons.

I love the part of the world I live in and enjoy the physical, but not the politcal, climate of my state. I'd like the photos I share to showcase what life is like in North San Luis Obispo County. I'm constantly discovering things new to me near home and for now am content to be a tourist here to find and photograph it.

I belong to Covenant Presbyterian Church, which is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church of America, in case anyone is curious. It is small and caring of its people and the community around it here in Paso Robles. We've been members since 1991. The building isn't much. It used to be a preschool owned by our founding pastor. We believe in putting our money to use to serve people rather than pouring it into an expensive building.

I have been married to my husband, Kosta, for 59 years. We survived our two children. For purposes of meeting requirements of certain groups, I must state that I'm over fifty. That is probably obvious by now. In fact I'm over 80. I had stroke amost 3 years ago. I created an album recently about my continuing stroke recovery. Flickr is helping me recover. What I cannot use speech to express, I use pictures. Except for these few words, I wrote this before the stroke. I cannot comment as before. Once in a while I am lucky, you might get a reply. It might not make sense as before. I ask you to excuse me.

My photos are copyrighted. Please do not use them commercially or in blog posts or anywhere else, even with credit, without my written permission. If you contact me, please put "Flickr" in your subject heading in capital letters so I will find it more easily. Thank you.
