I started my photographic journey way back in 1976 when I was given a Zenit E as a Christmas present. It leaked light dreadfully, but I was hooked. I used film right up until around 2000 when I was seduces like everyone else by the magic of digital. I even convinced my local camera club to go digital in 2008 when I was chairman. recently, though, I have been looking at how digital technology has become ever more blisteringly sharp, and to me, it's lost its soul, its atmosphere, and magic so I have returned to film with a Mamiya 645 Pro medium format camera to see if I can't get that magic back. That's my nod to analogue film but I am marrying up with state of the art digital scanning hardware and a shiny new Sekonic digital light meter. Well after all film these days is expensive so all the help I can get with metering is very welcome. I'm also developing my own film as well so that should keep the cost down. I don't plan on posting any work from my various digital cameras only my film work. In just 2 rolls of film. One colour, one black and white I have already noticed a dramatic change in what I am seeing as a subject and how I am capturing it.
