About Takeshi Sugimori

Takeshi Sugimori is a Japanese artist and author who was born in Osaka, Japan. Following graduation from the university in Okinawa, he moved to Tokyo where he put his artistic talents to good use working part-time for a magazine that produced some of Japan’s best-loved anime.

After doing this for 5 years, Takeshi was invited to work as a full-time artist and decided to quit his regular job to facilitate it. Since then he has never looked back and is now producing exciting anime books that are growing in popularity.

Takeshi lives in a suburb of Tokyo, with his wife and their daughter. In his free time, he loves getting out of the city and finding somewhere peaceful to camp or hike.
