Venus Palestine is a Gaza-based self-funded women empowerment project aiming at enlightening Palestinian heritage through traditional embroidery.

At first, promoting Palestinian traditions before the world should raise awareness about the rich history of Palestinian people. Importantly, it also demonstrates the tremendous responsibility of Palestinian women in carrying on the diversity of the Palestinian culture across generations.

Secondly, Venus Palestine’s project provides an economic opportunity to 25 women and 3 men left without resources, to enhance their livelihoods and stimulate social solidarity despite the constant deterioration of the living conditions affecting all the population of the Gaza strip.

The exportation of goods from Gaza remains a critical challenge, as it can take months to get the clearance from Izrael customs authority to ship a simple box of handcrafts outside Gaza.
