Photography and travel have always been my twin passions, from the time I was a teenager hitch-hiking thru Europe to now - my retirement years, when I have been fortunate to make travel photography a serious endeavour. My background in design work and a watercolour painting hobby, have further informed how I look at the world. Seeing beauty and interest in things that others usually pass by, is a unique hallmark of my photographer/artist view of street life and landscape. I have travelled extensively to many countries, hiring guides to find both well-known and off the beaten path locations. Everywhere I have travelled, I have endeavoured to meet locals, and where possible, to live like one ... this creates the unique opportunity to photograph people, places and landscapes that capture a very personal moment in time.
My images are representative of the lands and places my wife and I have visited - 23 countries to date - and can serve as your travel guide, when you are planning a trip. My aim is to produce photos of the same caliber as you see in travel magazines, while also trying to capture the place from a different perspective.
All my images are available in a selection of sizes, printed on high quality papers, on metal, or printed on artists’ canvas from my website, www.tenserworldtravelphotography.com. They are also available printed on gift items (mugs, mouse pads, and iPhone cases) shown in the BUY section. High resolution images for commercial applications, government and regional tourist offices, and travel publications are also available in high resolution digital format.
I shoot my images with a Canon 5D Mark IV, paired with four Canon “L” lenses. My camera is also equipped with a “Blackrapid” camera strap that allows me to have the camera at my hip, ready to grab for that instant moment in street photography that won’t repeat.
