Born in Chicago and lived on the South Side for 61 years. I worked for the Chicago Public Library and Chicago Public Schools, as a teacher and librarian

I became interested in Photography when I received a diagnosis of Ovarian Cancer in 2006/Stage 3C and Stage 4 since 2014, I truly believe that my photography and many excursions in nature have been a magical potion that has worked along all of my chemo treatments. I'm so grateful to be alive. I've had 5 recurrences since 2006. I'm currently enrolled in a clinical trial at Mayo. They are infusing me with my stem cells and genetically modified measles virus. I'm praying it works!

So in the meantime, I get out in nature living in the moment. I capture those moments, and revisit over and over again. What a powerful elixir! AND I look at all of your beautiful photos and just can't get enough of God's art!

My husband and I sold our home in Chicago about 5 years ago, bought a 5th Wheel and a truck and have been traveling around the U.S. in between treatments and recoveries. We've recently made our home base in Florida, so we can be near our son and his family. And my new magical elixir is my 10 month old grandson.

So God has a plan for me to keep beating this OC. I'm so grateful and plan to keep taking photos. Thank you for all of your comments and faves!
