I enjoy being barefoot year-round. Barefoot hiking is my favorite, but I also regularly take barefoot walks around my neighborhood. I enjoy all surfaces - rocks, dirt, pavement, wood chips, gravel, leaves, sand, grass, etc. The longest I have walked barefoot in a day is 20 miles (32km). During the winter, I enjoy walking and hiking barefoot in the snow and have walked up 10 miles (16km) barefoot on snow and ice.

I live the USA in the Pacific Northwest, and there aren't many fellow all-terrain barefooters nearby, so it's nice to see others on Flickr who also enjoy getting tough soles barefooting.
