I am a retired, lifelong teacher with a passion for railways and photography. Due to the Covid lockdown in Melbourne, I commenced studying general photography with Nikon D3400 for Dummies. I am now living between Cambodia, for the second time in my life, and Melbourne. I am working hard to learn techniques required for general photography and develop the photographer that I want to be. At the moment, I am into railway photography, street photography and motion blur, along with black/white photography. I was also trying to capture people, not posed, but in unusual circumstances or with unusual facial expressions. However, having had mixed feelings about street photography, I am well aware that this is becoming very risky. I am studying how the expert street photographers avoid problems.
