Cameras are wounderful tools. I started to make my first photos about 35 years ago... and they were awful. It took a long time of try and error until I recognized that photography is not about HOW to take a photo (in a technical sense), but WHY I should take it. This was the starting point for a completely new perspective that led to many more questions. It was like discovering a new world of expression.

I'm not interested in captures, which are a copy of the reality (why should I? the reality is already there!). Instead I try to deconstruct the reality, re-defining it in a subjective, emotional sense and create a space for interpretation, questions, imagination and phantasy.

Well... at least I try. It's an everlasting attempt. But sometimes I'm still copying. :-)
