Rodrigo Carvalho Santiago is the first Brazilian to be accepted into Project PoSSUM (Polar Suborbital Science in the Upper Mesosphere) as a Scientist-Astronaut Candidate. Through Project PoSSUM, Rodrigo has researched the upper Mesosphere and trained for suborbital human space flight. He had successfully completed two suborbital flights.

He was born in Volta Redonda-RJ Brazil but raised in Sao Paulo-SP Brazil. He got his BS in Computer Networking Technology – SENAI, BS in Physics – UeSP, BSBA in Business Administration – UNIVALI, MS in Industrial-Organization Psychology – PURDUE UNIVERSITY – MASTER MIND INSTITUTE (where he conducted a study of human behavior through mathematical standards), MBA in Business Management IBMI (Berlin), mMS in Quantum Physics/Quantum mechanics MIT (xPRO) and GS in Aeronautical Maintenance Engineering – PUC. Currently pursuing his MS in Space Studies – AMU and CT in Data Science and Big Data HARVARD Extension School.

Rodrigo worked in several worldwide technology companies such as NEOGRID focus in Supply Chain Management (SOP and VMI), CLARO NET – Virtua Internet Provider, PEUGEOUT Automotive Industry, SARA LEE Corporation consumer-goods company, STANTON CHASE INTERNATIONAL/GRUPO FOCO RH Global Executive Search and many others.

He is a Senior Member of GOOGLE for STARTUPS been consulting for various areas of technology in the lasts years.

Rodrigo Also is an Advisor and Investigator for MIT / NASA – T.E.S.S (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) DATA ANALYSIS TESS GI Program lead by Padi Boyd at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.

During quarantine he joined a team to use Artificial Intelligence to expand the network infrastructure of FOLDING AT HOME to get the models for the COVID 19 vaccine. Folding at Home became the fastest Super Computer in the world using a peer to peer network.

Recently he managed a worldwide team to present a solution for NASA Human Landing System (HLS)/ ARTEMIS PROGRAM.
