My photo experiences started, when I was 14 years old, with Praktica then a Yashica followed by a short episode with a Contax RTS. Very soon the move to Nikon came and I started with a Nikon FE. In addition, a Nikon F Photomic and a F2S were added. Since I am wearing glasses and I earned my studies between 1980 and 1985 with aerial photographs from a vibrating helicopter, the change from the FE to a F3 HP was a good decision, because now I could see the entire viewfinder picture (eyepoint 25mm, I miss this viewfinder still today, because there is no digital camera that has such eyepoint, Z6 21mm). These old cameras are still available in the showcase with the AI lenses from back then (for nostalgic reasons, sometimes I try out them on Zf again).

I started my digital time with a side jump to Canon, a Canon 300 (EOS KISS III in Japan, EOS Rebel 2000) and a 40D. I didn't get happy with the APS-C format, especially in low light.

So the (expensive) step back to Nikon fullframe came to a D700, followed by a Z6 that I exchanged for a Z6 II after 3 years and now I use the Zf and a Z50 II. This is the current status and now I am pleased with this fantastic camera. Now my professional situation allows me to revive my hobby from the youth and i hope that I will still take some good photographs in the future. My goal is to take some photographs that can capture the moment with all its content and emotions and convey to the viewer. I would be happy if I succeed.
