Former teacher of photography and graphic artist. These days I live on Vancouver Island, on Canada's west coast. Summers here are great, but winters — with ocean, fog, and forests — are truly spectacular. My image work is split between straight photography, and graphic art that is sometimes derived from photography, but sometimes not. The scraps of photography used in some graphic pieces are all from original photographs. There is nothing here that is borrowed or stolen. Life is easier that way. I am interested in colour, texture and composition arrangements that provide new ways of observing and reacting to the world. I started using Adobe Photoshop around 1990 and it quickly redefined, for me, the process and result of image making. I also have a great love of traditional black and white photography, and colour photography in all their many forms.

I used Nikon gear for many years, going back to F3 and FE film cameras. And there was Hasselblad. I still use a Nikon D850, but recently I have been shooting with Fujifilm GFXS II and 100F cameras.
