I'm a writer and photographer, New Jersey-born and Los Angeles-based as of 2018. Since moving to LA, I've become enamored with both street and nature photography of all types. In many ways I find a nice Spring bloom as beautiful as the urban decay which surrounds me, as pretentious as I *KNOW* that sounds. Yet it's true. Beyond bizarre snapshots, my primary focus is on post-production. It is during that stage where I strive to decontextualize and isolate certain aspects of each subject I photograph as much as possible, in order to capture a more specific, unusual mood than the subject or image might typically embody on its own - all without losing any inherent aesthetic appeal of the photo. It's truly a delicate balance.

Now perhaps I'm just easily fascinated by things like creepy dolls, dead birds or decaying architecture, but I genuinely want people to look at things differently as they go about their days -- something I know is especially difficult when living in a bustling city and frankly, you've got shit to do. This saying I'm about to put out there might be the biggest cliché ever, I'm well aware, but I feel like my aesthetic very much embodies the spirit of "stop to smell the roses once in a while," even if the rose in this case is a melted garbage can or a disused birdbath. I've been told by at least one person that my photos have made them look at the world differently, and so if I can reach one single person like that, maybe I can reach more! At least that's the hope - that by putting myself out there, my artwork will have a similar effect on any new folks who happen to come across my work :)
