I don't like to call myself a photographer. I don't think I am. I would say more a "user" of cameras. In fact, I use the photographic medium to visually concretize some ideas that (still amazes me), magically arise in my mind. Most of the time from the simple observation of the world around me. TV, newspapers, advertising, internet, music, images, reading .. Very often I write them down on a piece of paper, drawing them and making them almost projects, already imagining the result. I also note the methods of implementation and possible solutions to technical obstacles. To overcome them, I invent empirical scenographic machines made of cotton threads, paper, glue, scissors, rubber bands, stands, pumps… Furthermore, to create dynamic shots, I got traps and other electronic gadgets (acoustic, infrared and laser triggers). I really like the prodromal phase at the click. Inventing how to do it, I also find it exciting in some respects ..

I love the color. In all its physical forms. Be it solid or liquid, gaseous or powdered. Probably, indeed certainly, a cultural legacy of my life spent among canvases, easels, brushes, pencils and colors. Activities that I still do not neglect today. I say that I integrated those "old" and historical pictorial tools with photography. I rediscovered and improved my world and way of expression. I'm very happy with it. I can express myself freely. I have almost no more constraints.

Perhaps the key to this expressive "well-being" is given above all in wanting to remain an amateur. A very passionate amateur, with no “artistic” and professional pretensions.
