I've been taking photos as a hobby ever since I was a kid. I've never had any formal photography training, I just like to photograph what is pleasing or interesting to my eye. I love photography as an attempt to capture 'moments' and feelings of things I see or experience when pursuing my love of nature, outdoor adventure, and travel.

I also enjoy writing and find that often intertwines with the photography, so Flickr has become a place for me to share some of that as well, with stories or poems to accompany the photos.
