The United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Sierra Leone consists of all the 22 UN agencies, funds and programmes in Sierra Leone.

The UNCT works “as one” to support Sierra Leone in reaching the Sustainable Development Goals and Sierra Leone’s own national development agenda.

UNCT works to achieve the “Medium-term National Development Plan – MTNDP” and the “United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework – UNSDCF” to be implemented from 2020 to 2023.

The UNCT is led by Dr. Babatunde Ahonsi, UN Resident Coordinator (RC) for the Republic of Sierra Leone.
