I am an amateur photographer living in Glasgow, Scotland. I have been a keen black and white photographer for thirty years and over that time have been influenced by such masters as Edward Weston, Roger Fenton and Ansel Adams to name but a few. My passion lies with the use of vintage and antique camera's (although I do use digital to get a look that appeals) and I am continually amazed by the resolving power of these old lenses, some of which are more than a century old. For the past few years I have been working with paper negatives and old expired glass plates found online. I love the character that both mediums convey, both are so different , but each have an aged look to them that appeals to me. Over a number of years I have amassed a collection of vintage and antique camera's, most of which are Kodak. I love getting out into the wilderness to make my pictures, the pleasure of visiting the places I love helps me relax from the pressures of life (especially in the current climate) and maybe make some art at the same time.
