It takes a village to raise a child is a proverb, which means that it takes an entire community of different people interacting with children in order for children to experience and grow in a safe environment. The villages would look out for the children to ensure their development and well-being.

At Family Programs Hawaii, it is our mission to be that village for children are Hawaii’s most valuable resource. They are our future. Family Programs Hawaii is a unique non-profit agency remaining true to its origins of providing quality care to the children of Hawaii.
