How I became, Gary E Greenberg photographer? I was Facetiming my Aunt Arlene and Cousin Taffy who live on the east coast of the United States. Aunt Arlene who has never been to where I live, asked me to send her some pictures of my city. At first I told her I couldn't take a good picture. Fast forward walking in a nature wonderland and I found myself reaching for my smartphone which I only turned on if I was expecting a call or I needed to make a call and before I knew it, I was taking photos. While I always enjoyed looking at photographs, I never envisioned myself taking photographs, I was impelled by an invisible force. I never wanted a job. I was forced to be a photographer and I love it with a passion. I can’t pass by beauty without celebrating it by taking a photograph. It would be very painful to resist the urge. I would like to become a great photographer, but I have a moderate learning disability and there is a lot to learn. And so that is how Gary E Greenberg became a photographer.
