I started photography around the late 70's when I inherited a beautiful Voigtlander from my Great Uncle. Unfortunately this was stolen during a burglary in 1981 and I lost my interest in photography until I decided to restart in 2002, using film, when I moved to France. I chose Canon and bought a wide range of lenses and bodies, moving to a digital 10D in 2005 and finally a 5D mk2 in 2008.
However, all these lenses and bodies were becoming too heavy to carry around so, on retirement, in 2018, I traded my rucksack and its contents and treated myself to a Leica M10 and a single Summicron-M f1:2/35mm.
Living in the Auvergne, in Central France, means that I have plenty of lakes and volcanoes on my doorstep to inspire me and the local race track (an ex F1 GP circuit) providing opportunities to satisfy my motorsport passion. The reason for the many India photos is because we lived and worked in Southern India for 5 years which provided so many opportunities with the fantastic light, beautiful colours and friendly people.
