As a child living in Wolverhampton in the 1960s I was fascinated by the local trolleybus system, and by the two Guy Wulfrunians which had an amazing ride quality.

During the 1970s I lived in Solihull and travelled to work in Birmingham. I combined an interest in photography with the desire to record the ageing Guy and Daimler buses that the West Midlands PTE inherited from Birmingham City Transport. Also of interest to me during the 1970s were the Midland Red (BMMO) D9s, plus newer vehicles such as Volvo Ailsa's and Leyland B15s.
