Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School’s photography curriculum centers on both analog and digital techniques.

My class covers traditional and modern technologies. This includes the history of photograph. The class is taught according to skill level and I work with students individually to ensure that they get the most from the class whether it’s beginning or advance experience.

The genres covered in my class include but it not limited to: Early photography, landscapes, portraitures, environmental portraitures, conceptual and surreal photography, and also motion.

I have taught photography for several decades in upper education but working at JDS has opened up a whole new world that belongs to young, talented and brave students willing to step out of their comfort zones to visually express their own ideas and aesthetics.
