I am interested in photography and in capturing what I see. I am not an expert in photography and I would call myself a hobbyist rather than an amateur because an amateur in this field can imply having technical knowledge which I do not have. I take photos based on instinct and what I want to capture. I use some processing tools in a limited way such as Luminar Neo or Lightroom, to try to bring the photo as close as possible to what my eyes saw rather than just what the camera captured, although it does help to have a good camera and lens. Most of the photos here are taken in my locality which is a beautiful one, abundant with countryside and the lovely Backstairs Mountains. So my photos are a mixture of landscapes, macros and captured moments and my subject matter ranges from my pets, to birds, flowers, mountains and moments that capture my attention.
