Shale Hill Wildlife Project
Drag to set position!
Following the devastating Australian bushfires of 2019/2020, a few small areas of bushland were spared from the fires. An area that is known informally as "Shale Hill" on the south coast of New South Wales was one such unburned area. The land owners decided to work together to protect the surviving wildlife on their properties and The Shale Hill Wildlife Project was launched.
This Flickr page is being used to record some of the wildlife that is being protected and conserved by the project participants. The project is also supported by The Global Conservation Force - an independent conservation organisation based in USA.
The precise location of the project is being kept confidential.
Please note that the photographs on this page were taken by project participants and their friends. Some of these photographs may appear also on their personal Flickr pages.
