I am originally from New York City but have spent two thirds of my life in Florida. I only us film cameras but do use a hybrid approach for inkjet prints especially in color. Most of my prints are black and white darkroom prints using fiber papers. I have worked mostly in 35mm but also use Bronica and Fuji medium format cameras. I have a Toyo 4x5 that I wish I could use more. Although I am new to posting on Flickr, I have been a photographer for over fifty years. I ask myself what are these photographs about? I would answer in an indirect way. What is man's relationship to nature? Is

there respect or only exploitation? Are we part of nature? The body is. How about the self, the thought process? Is the self real? What is the relationship between the known and the unknown? What is greater? Is there currently a balance between human culture and the infinitely greater nature and the unknown? I try through the act of photography to point to some of these questions even if they may not have an answer.
