I have no idea what I'm doing. I don't know why I draw what I draw. And if anyone asked me what my future career would be, i wouldnt have an answer for them. Like the lot of you, I suppose: I'm just here on this earth; living life one step at a time; knowing it's all in God's hands.
I don't remember the first day i picked up a pencil or crayon and scribbled on a piece of paper, but i do remember how i started out....I was around 4 years old, i didn't know it by then but my mom was in a deep hole of depression. She would rarely come out of her room, let alone get out of her bed. At 4 years old, I had this strange urge to draw pictures and create cards to give to her. I never missed a day without giving her something that showed her I loved her. I don't know if that impacted her life in a good way or if she has already forgotten about it (or if it got annoying after a while and she ended up throwing all the cards away lol). It doesn't really matter either way. I believe that I was moved by God to keep a smile on my face so my mom could get better.
As the years went by, my mom became so much better; and is now and has always been the most amazing person ever; right beside my dad! And I began to branch out from creating cards to drawing the pastor as a stick figure, in the middle of a church service! I received many sketchbooks and drew to my heart's content!
I know I'm not a pro artist. Lets face it, there is no such thing as a Pro Artist. The best artist, the beginner artist, we are all just artist making art to the best of our abilities. Like God said, "In everything you do, do it for the glory of God!" So i am going to do just that! And along the way my main goal is to put a smile on someone else's face!
Stay happy and keep smiling!!! -Love, Felicity
