Hi, I'm Nicola and I've been taking photos round Norwich since 2014. It started just as an easy, undemanding activity I could do at a time when I was very limited. (I've been dealing with chronic health conditions including fatigue and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome). And it turns out that I love taking photos more than I ever knew! Aside from the obviously pretty stuff, I'm drawn to the moody, the mysterious, the understated and the unappreciated.

I've been using a Praktica DCZ 5.3 (5MP) - pretty basic by current standards! My photos posted from November 2021 have been taken on my upgraded Praktica Z212 (20MP). Most of my pictures are taken within a 2 mile radius of my home or at most, within a 15 minute drive of the city. They're minimally processed, unless they're specifically arty and I'm going for a more impressionistic look. My aim in general is to capture true-to-life scenes.

Though it was frustrating when I couldn't stray far from home, it was actually a great opportunity to see just how much interest and beauty can be found where I am. And I've proved to myself that things that might have seemed mundane at first can actually be magnificent - if you look at them the right way! I hope you enjoy looking around :-)
