I am a family historian and I joined Flickr after receiving many boxes of old photos and ephemera that belonged to my ancestors. I wanted to share these things with my family, but also had many photos of people that had no names or other identifying clues. I have spent hundreds of hours trying to put names to these people and I have been successful with quite a few of them. Most of them were friends and cousins of my great-great-grandmother and I thought their descendants may appreciate finding these photos.

I also have some photos I have collected over the years from antique stores. These are unrelated people that I hope to "reunite" with descendants. I try to post any identified photos to sites like Find a Grave and Ancestry as well.
