Mi nombre es Samuel. Me dedico profesionalmente a la fisioterapia y a la psiconeuroinmunología clínica (PNI).

 

De manera no profesional, me dedico a mi otra gran pasión, que es la fotografía. Mi amor por este arte es algo que ha ido creciendo más y más desde mi primer contacto, hace ya bastantes años.

 

Siempre utilicé tecnología digital, pero de un tiempo a esta parte (hace un par de años tal vez), he tomado la resolución de, poco a poco, ir aprendiendo humildemente, el oficio de la fotografía, la de verdad, la original. He de decir que no tengo nada en contra de la tecnología digital, sin embargo, disfruto muchísimo del procedimiento que ofrece la fotografía analógica; entender de verdad el comportamiento de la luz (o al menos intentarlo), tomarte tu tiempo para realizar la fotografía, entrenar la visualización, de como se va a ver en el papel, incluso antes de disparar la cámara, estar presente en todo el proceso, desde la idea de la fotografía que quieres realizar, hasta ver la copia física en el papel. Es todo un oficio, todo un arte. y para mí, ninguna tecnología digital puede superar todas estas sensaciones y experiencias que tengo cuando utilizo medios analógicos.

 

En esta cuenta tengo la intención de ir compartiendo con aquell@s personas que puedan compartir los mismos gustos y curiosidades, mis humildes avances y aprendizajes. También espero poder aprender mucho de otr@s usuari@s con mucha más experiencia que yo en el oficio.

My name is Samuel. I work as a physiotherapist and also I am a therapist of clinic Psychoneuroinmunology (PNI).

 

In a non profesional way, I spend as much time as I can, with my other big passion, that is photography. My love for this art it's something that has been growing more and more since my first encounter with it, several years ago.

 

I've always used digital technology to take my images, but since two years ago, approximately, I've taken the firm resolution of step by step, humbly learn the craft of photography, the real one, the original. I must say that I have nothing against the digital technology whatsoever, but, this said, I genuinely enjoy so much the process that analog photography offers; Truly understanding the behavior of the light (or trying at least), slowing down and taking your time to take the picture, working the visualization, visualice how the picture will look on the paper, even before press the shutter, being part of all the process, since the idea of the picture you want to take, all the way to the final image on the paper. Definitely, it is a true craftsmanship, and, in my personal experience and opinion, no digital technology can beat all the sensations and the experiences I have when I take a picture using analog methods.

 

On this Flickr account, I have the intention of sharing with other people my learnings and improvements regarding this analog craftsmanship, and learning from people with way more experience than I have on this matter.
