I’m a hobbyist photographer whose pictures may be described as opportunistic and represents a snapshot of my broad interests.

I love diversity in photography. Colour, sepia, monochrome, all appeal to me except CGI, I prefer natural images that that are not extensively edited, when it comes to portraits I find beauty in imperfection.

Architecture, countryside and gardens, the natural world and engineering, specifically industrial archaeology, mechanics, and mechanisms.

All my kit is Nikon and second-hand, mostly because I fund another creative activity requiring a significant investment. I only seriously picked up a camera in 2009 and now I never go anywhere without one. If I have a regret, it is that I did not carry a camera in the years I went exploring abandoned places, what we refer to as URBEX these days.

I have a basic philosophy to leave nothing behind me but a shadow. I will not trespass; I will not disturb nature or wildlife and only view from a distance. I will remain unobtrusive and respectful.
