Professor Kim R. Dunbar was born in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania to Frank and Bernice Dunbar and grew with her three sisters Bonnie, Laura, and Colleen. She attended Sewickley High School before receiving a B.S. degree in Chemistry with a minor in Mathematics.
