This Flickr Page documents observations of nocturnal life with an outdoor CCTV camera.

Hardware and software used:

(1) outdoor CCTV USB cameras

I bought three cameras of ELP/CCTV - ELPcctv.com

You can also find the camera here:

www.amazon.com/megapixel-intervensi%c3%b3n-Vandal-proof-d...

The camera has a 5m long USB cable and ELP also sells USB extender cables of 5, 10 or 15 meters for these cameras so distance is not an issue.

The camera is plug and play - you don't have to install a driver. It works fine on my Windows 10 computer. It gets its power from your computer via the USB cable so that you do not need an external power supply.

In my experience, ELP provides an impeccable service and provides excellent help with any question you may have.

(2) ISpy software (open source)

This software is free. Just "add" the USB camera to the software and you are all set to go.

(3) Kdenlive video editing software (open source)

(4) Any Video Convertor (free) (to convert to MPEG4, reduce the file size or add subtitles)

(5) Google Tangerine Font (free)
