Born and bred in Manchester, Robert Leishman is a self-taught oil painter and amateur photographer currently capturing the landscape and spirit of the North West.

Robert’s life has been defined by distinct, powerful chapters. From his early days working as a steel fixer on major regional landmarks like the Manchester Civil Justice Centre, to his time as a musician in the band 50leaves, he has always possessed a drive to build and create.

Following a long period away and a definitive reckoning with his past, Robert used his time to completely pivot his focus toward the visual arts. Today, he channels his energy into two distinct creative outlets: capturing the fleeting, raw geometry of the world through his lens, and building deep, textured layers on canvas with oil paints.

Operating out of Lancashire, Robert’s work is an honest reflection of resilience, sharp observation, and a commitment to moving forward. He shares his ongoing artistic evolution directly with the public through his twin digital galleries.
