Hi there! I'm an amateur photographer. That means I take pictures in my spare time. Places, things, people and moments get me excited to take pictures. To me photography means perceiving things, not just passing them by. Therefore I am very grateful for the gift of learning to see. Photography became one of my major passions I cannot live without. That’s truly my second life that er… that makes my life more liveable. Every time I take pictures, I have the impression that I'm holding back time, putting a pause in my day, and taking moments with me, together with their whole volatile experience. I delude myself that I will possess them to be with me forever and to share them with others. Sometimes I feel I’m creating a new reality to which I gently move when I press the shutter. Since I don't like the wet side of photography, I avoid spending time in the darkroom. Therefore I try to edit photos as little as possible which makes me stick to each and every shot I take. I photograph with a variety of gear. I started from a 35mm camera back in mid-nineties which is not that strange, after all. Recently I fell in love with mirrorless cameras for their compact size, small weight and new features they provide. Such a camera can often accompany me and keeps me from missing a shot every once in a while.

Cześć! Fotografią zajmuję się wyłącznie amatorsko. Do tego, aby wziąć do ręki aparat i wykonać zdjęcie skłaniają mnie te chwile, w których miejsca, rzeczy i ludzie tworzą obraz, a światło nadaje mu wyrazu - podkreśla to, co ważne, a kryje, co nieistotne. Fotografia oznacza dla mnie umiejętność patrzenia, sztukę dostrzegania, ale także refleksję spojrzenia. To jedna z najważniejszych moich pasji. Za każdym razem, kiedy robię zdjęcie, mam wrażenie, że zatrzymuję czas, który tak szybko płynie. Czuję, że chwytam bieżącą chwilę i już na zawsze zachowuję wrażenia i emocje, które jej towarzyszą. To jakby wraz z wyzwoleniem migawki przenosić się do innej rzeczywistości, w której to, co zwyczajne, staje się niepowtarzalne, a to, co ulotne, zostaje na długo. Nie cierpię mokrej roboty i dlatego stronię od ciemni. To nakazuje mi przykładać się do każdego ujęcia tak, aby unikać nadmiaru pracy edycyjnej. Fotografuję różnym sprzętem. Zaczynałem, jak wielu, od małego obrazka i błony fotograficznej 35mm. Później - a jakże - przesiadłem się całkowicie na aparaty cyfrowe. Ostatnio moją szczególną sympatię zyskały bezlusterkowce. Są mniejsze niż lustrzanki i można mieć taki aparat częściej przy sobie. Nie rzuca się też tak bardzo w oczy, co ma często niebagatelne znaczenie podczas fotografowania
