Photography is the study of light, lines, shapes, and composition that takes the image to an art form. That is the rub!---:)))
Composition to me also includes a clean background and no clutter in the image. When I frame a subject in the viewfinder,
my first observation is the background. Does it distract from the visual impact of the picture? Eon years ago when I first
became serious about photography, I studied the brush artist. Robert Bateman, the famous Canadian wildlife artist, his
thought process in his paintings are just genius. The French impressionist artists with their open landscape paintings and
their depicting of light can be replicated in photography too.
I just purchased a Canon EOS 90D and a Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM | Contemporary 015.
Years ago I sold my camera systems when I retired. My primary camera was a Canon eos-1d mark ii 16.7 mp. I had a 100-400 mm Canon old model lens. The quality was just average. I purchased new the monster 600 mm Canon lens that was incredibly sharp.
This new 90-D (32.5 mp) and Sigma telephoto zoom lens at 400 mm the images are much sharper than my old system. I haven't tried the 600 mm setting yet. I surmise there is some
sharpness lost at 600 mm. I'm waiting for the right subject to test it. I'm pleased using the 400 mm setting and cropping down.
