Gary Dutton
Born in Brisbane, lived in New Zealand, South Africa, Taiwan & Namibia. Returned in 2001 to Australia's Gold Coast. Strong interest in travel, people & their cultures, the great outdoors, wildlife and their habitats. As a keen photographer since 1968, I thoroughly enjoy recording the changing, often challenging images found in every corner of our planet. The wildlife in Africa was of particular interest for the 3 decades i lived there and I willingly return when i can. Since my return to Australia birds, their habitats along with our fauna and flora is my current focus.
I am aided in my image making quests with the Olympus OM1 & OMD Em1 Mk3. Lens choice for wildlife is mostly 300mm (Full Frame equiv. 600mm) and occasionally I use my MC 1.4x. The 300mm is very versatile and I often use it as a "macro" lens. The 12-100mm & 14-150mm are mainly used for family events and when I travel. Recently I acquired a 60mm macro lens, matched with a Raynox close up lens, and relish the chance to use that when I can.
