My husband really enjoyed taking pictures. Because he died on May 3, 2017 of a serious illness, I built this site in his memory. As he worked in Japan for 18 years as a physicist, these pictures were all taken there. But they reveal a deeper Japan - the Japan of its people, not of tourist guidebooks - just as he saw it, understood it, and loved it.

He used to say, ‘We live on as long as someone remembers us.’ He is still among us through these images.
