I'm a wonderfully happy not so young anymore lady of the East coast. Spoiled by my husband, adored by my kids. Not only the ones I gave birth to, but all that I have taught to sew over the years. Each one learned in his or her own way and taught me a thing or two in their own way also!

I am honored to teach sewing at our local Boys & Girls Club. The kids are always excited about their next project. I volunteer with the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps. I alter their infamous Cadet Uniforms. It's just a thrill to make those young people look great. It's all about the kids. All kids, any kids. I love em' all.

About my sewing history...I have been designing and making figure skating and performancewear for over 15 years, and I guess that is what my expertise is in...lycra. Before that, it was weddings, alterations and formal wear. No more of that...crazy business to be in. I have always made purses, totes, bags, wallets and fun stuff . I sell bags at boutiques, and now on Etsy! I have started doing fairs again. I just love meeting people and making money at the same time. Two kids in college.....a mom's gotta do what she's gotta do!

I have to give credit where it is due. My late mother and father always fostered my dream of having my own sewing business. They offered to back the opening of a small shop long ago, to which I refused. I always thought that if I had to sew, I wouldn't like to sew....I was wrong. They found me customers for alterations, wedding parties, bands, colorguards, and anyone that would let me work for them in that world. Mom & Dad, I hope you can see, I hope you know that my dream has come true, and that you are with me every stitch of the way!

When I'm not sewing...I love to cook. I love to be with my family and I love to drive my car. I don't like t.v., and I don't like to get up early. I love to iron, but hate to fold clothes. I love my camera....just wish I had more time to use it!
