My beginnings with photography were at the age of 17. At that time I had bought my first SLR camera, a Nikon with 3 lenses (35mm, 50mm, 135mm), which was expensive for me at the time. Developing and enlarging the black and white photos at home in our own laboratory began almost from the very first hour. This camera and lenses were stolen from me on a trip to the south of France, but luckily my insurance paid for a replacement. A Nikon FE which is still in the cupboard and the lenses 24mm, 2.8; Micro 55mm, 3.5; 135mm, 2.8 which are currently being used again. With this equipment I shot almost exclusively black and white pictures until 2006 when I took a big break.

After a 12-year break - during this time the great upheaval to digital photography also took place - my photographic work has slept like a slumber.

In 2018 I bought my first digital, used SLR camera. The Nikon D700 was a great camera when it first came out and it's still great for my return to this day. The old lenses all worked and I'm used to manual focusing, so these are still in use.

In addition, I bought a used Nikon Nikkor AF 70-200, 2.8 and paid for another MF Nikon 105mm, 2.5 ai as well as a new Tamron AF 24-70mm 2.8 and a good Rollei tripod.

Now more than well equipped, I have started to deal intensively with digital photography, so to speak as a beginner with a digital camera.

For Christmas 2029 I bought a mirrorless Nikon Z7, which I will supplement with some new Z lenses.

My interests are diverse and not yet fixed on a specific choice of style and motif. I am interested in exploring everything that seems exciting to me in terms of design. My love for black and white photography has also stayed with me.

I'm looking forward to the exchange in the photo community and hope to be able to improve my photography.
