My first Love are films, and love all kinds of music which keeps me going ussually as I work (sadly in a very normal day job, not the Art world).

 

I am addicted to taking Gig images at the moment, as you may be able to see, even if I know they are nowhere near the quality of SLR cameras I at least try. I just love seeing live bands, so taking pictures is just the topping on the cake :) esspecially getting up close to them.

 

Started with a pretty limited compact Fuji A340 - Moved up to my fully manual big zoom Panasonic FZ30 - great for starting out before the big world of SLR cameras.

Also had a Fuji Z20 for gigs, but broke it after a month! dohh! so got a Canon G9 to fill in the gig gap. One of the best compacts on the market (it is not really compact mind you).

 

Looking at others images inspires me to seek out and try new things with my camera. Flickr is esspecially good for inspiration, and blatant stealing of ideas. Ahem. So feel free to comment all you like, tips always taken in as hey we all have to learn from our mistakes.

 

Anyway lived in Durham all my life, all over the place in Durham. Good place for talking photo's, esspecially the Cathederal.

Some people hate this type of picture, but hey deal with it haha
