Freelance Video editor & Photographer

Having been an avid photographer since the age of 14, following in my grandfather’s footsteps. I used to develop and print my own photos in the dark-room overnight and sell them to a local newspaper, concentrating largely on motorsport events back then.

After attending college in Norwich I found himself working in Television for Anglia TV, but in 1984 moved to London to work there and found I was employing many of the same skills in my video editing that I used in my photography.

Following long spells living in London and the South of France, in 2010 I returned to the UK and moved back to my ‘fatherland’ of Norfolk. It was a very different prospect visually to the intense light of Provence, but found that it was actually more inspiring for photography in terms of mysterious atmosphere, with it’s huge skies and beautiful, varied coastline. There was certainly a good supply of subjects to be tapped into. I had been born by and lived only 50 metres from the sea until I was 18 and am always drawn to any body of water, but especially the sea. I still continue with my TV work in London, and now also work on many live, global sporting events in parallel with my photography, but often seen with my trusted Kerry Blue Terrier alongside me at the coast early in the mornings.

In late summer of 2018, during a quiet spell with work, I decided to visit a local RSPB reserve to utilise some of my camera gear in another way. I became hooked and before long was spending early mornings in search of wildlife….(leaving my dog at home). It was a steep learning curve, a totally different set of techniques and skills to be learned.

I hope you enjoy some of the fruits of my labours.
