I'm a visual artist. I graduated with a Master of Fine Arts degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1995. I paint and draw, do computer graphic designs, create multi-medias, and manipulate digital photographs. I've been taking pictures of myself and high-tech lights with iPhone. When the pictures were taken, I put them into several apps on iPhone, several apps on Fire tablet (no longer using it), several apps on iPad, several apps on Mac laptop, and PhotoShop in an old Mac desktop computer (very rarely). I manipulated the pictures through those apps that enabled me to go beyond just ordinary images. By that, I'm saying that the availability of the apps encouraged me to discover, experiment, explore, and try new things more than what PhotoShop can do. The self-portraits you see focus on character changes, LGBTQ identity, and just being who I am as an artist. The high-tech lights images show the beauty of the radiances, the glowing effects, the magical appearances, the futuristic or science fiction looks. I have always been fascinated with lights since childhood. I also create science fiction-themed digital artwork. One more thing is that I create digital collage of images that portray political issues regarding to LGBTQ and they also show humor or joy for being gay (pretty much influenced by David Wojnarowicz: an out radical controversial gay artist during the 70's-80's-90's in the East Village area of NYC).
