I am relatively new (2020) to more serious photography although my late Father was an avid photographer who set out to collect images of every Butterfly in the UK - something that took him many years to achieve using an old Zenith. My brother David is also an excellent photographer who uses this brilliant site so the bug maybe in my DNA.

I am embracing and loving the digital era with all the flexibility and immediacy it offers. Closing in on retirement, my wife Michelle, very kindly bought me a Nikon Z7 and a 200-500mm lens so I had a worthwhile hobby to give me an interest when my new found freedom finally comes around. I already love it and take every opportunity to take photos of wild birds and the odd 'arty' shot when I can. I am a rank beginner and have a trusty reference guide that tells me, if I ever need it, that I am still only using less than 10% of the capacity of the camera but I really enjoy the challenge of trying new ways to improve my pictures. As my journey evolves I hope you might enjoy some of my photos. I don't have a laptop or a photoshop capability yet to enhance my images but that's a 2021 plan.

I thoroughly enjoy viewing other people's photos and I am in awe of their skill and ability to produce such amazing images. Thank you.
