Gap Kenya is a UK charity working in Mombasa, Kenya with street children and mothers and children who live on the main municipal garbage dump. The Joseph Centre teaches mothers skills to enable them to live independent lives away from sufficiency on the garbage dump, and sends their children to school. The Joseph Centre is a day centre for street children, providing food, showers, fun, recreation and teaching whilst showing love and teaching discipline to enable the children to leave street life and return to their families or move into a home and continue with their education. The foster home provides a stable, loving environment to 8 boys who have left street life cared for by foster parents Solomon and Esther.
