I owned a Brownie camera as a child, then 20 years later received a film SLR as a gift and later learned black and white darkroom editing and how to shoot with color slide (transparency) film. Hint: transparency film is unforgiving!

 

In the 21st century I'm enjoying digital photography very much. Since 2014, editing in the digital darkroom has become integral to my expression.

 

The images I share are shot in raw, setting exposure manually, but using no in-camera filters. I then go to post-processing, using layers and masks in PS Elements and Nik Collection. Some older ones have Topaz Studio 2 filters applied. I often simply harvest pixels to play with - the joy of the hobby has many facets!
