- self-sufficient (but not in any photography field or branch)

- like to shoot nature, landscape, macro, some kind of "wildlife" (in my garden) and a little architecture (mostly in a landscape context)

- still tryin' to capture moods, not only takin' pictures (for me that is quite challenging by the way)

- I'm not a big friend of postprocessing or essential modifying pictures (for me the message of a picture is more important than its technical perfection)

- the only filter I use is a polarizing filter (I've got ND filters but I did'nt use them)

- by the way: ALL bird pictures were shot in my garden (or in the sky above) - no national park, zoo, park, exhibiton, safari or sth. similar

(started with an non-digital canon eos IX APS-C DSLR in the 1990s with 24-85mm and 75-300mm kit-lenses for a while to change later to the olympus XZ-1 compact-camera and now I own

- photo editing: DxO Optics pro 9 (I would prefer to avoid post processing but when shooting in RAW I have to sharpen a little bit)

- at the sea (baltic sea, mediterranean sea)

- in the mountains (alps)

- in the woods & fields

- in my county (Thuringian Forrest, Rhoen, Werratal)

- in my little garden

What I'd like to own (some day later on):

- a gimbal head

- Canon EF 300mm/ f:2.8 L IS II

- Canon EF 1.4x III (EF 2.0x III)

- Sigma 500mm/ f:4.0 Sports OS HSM (to expensive for me even as a used lens)

(all the other big lenses like an EF 600mm/ f:4.0 L IS II or an EF 400mm/ f:2.8 L IS II and even the 500mm/ f:4.0 L IS II are out of my financial possibilities, I'm afraid)

- Monopod

- external Flash (not sure)

- Macro-Ring flash (have to try it first)

- an apple macbook pro 15" or similar (to expensive for me at the moment)

- a 24 inch calibrated EIZO-Monitor (to expensive and only half the fun with my old computer)

... and some more probably (R3, R5, R6, A1, ...)

- my own dog (german short hair or griffon type or a czesky foussek) :-)) (okay - the garden will need a fence before)

- and ... someone who carries all my gear on my trekking- and traveltours ;-)) - maybe our son is big enough one day
