Hi there! My name is Haley Hartner and I am a current student of Palm Beach Atlantic University. I believe that artistry is one of the most powerful and effective ways of kindling societal change, and is instilled in individuals in order to fulfill this potential to a certain degree. As an aspiring broadcast journalist with an emphasis on international human rights, my photography aims to elucidate the life conditions and struggles of everyday people who's tribulations would otherwise go unnoticed. My content encompasses the style of photojournalism, in which different narratives can be told through objective and relevant photos while maintaining an almost "timeless" aesthetic. Through the production of dramatized, raw and candid photos, I hope to bring awareness to viewers about the effects of human inequity on a local scale to promote the importance of servitude and evoke positive action. As concluded by the great Walter Cronkite- sometimes, society needs to be "shocked" into action.
