Drag to set position!
My entrance to photography began in the 80's. At the time, I was using an Olympus 35 mm SLR. This is when I started to develop my 'eye'. As I grew as a photographer, so did my attention to those details. What drove me then and continues to drive me today is to capture the essence of the image and the emotional connection. Most images are planned and scrutinized. I prefer taking time than simply shooting a lot. It's this scrutiny that has allowed me to develop the ability. Now, 40 years later I can quickly assess all angles, focus(es), what needs to be omitted and what message I want to convey.
I learned over the decades that there is beauty all around us, all you have to do is look away from the obvious.
Cameras that have been used evolved from the Olympus 35mm to the Nikon F70 35mm, and to the current D7100. Additional to the standard DSLR, the iPhone has also been used; the current 16. All images are taken in their natural form, meaning, nothing is staged, and little is edited in post-production. The only edits made are to the contrast, black point, saturation, and aspect ratio, if required.
I've self-published several books using Blurb; some having an ISBN.
As of 2025, I'm considered to be a professional photographer
I hope that you enjoy my images, Feel free to leave comments.
