Plants have been a large part of my life. As a child, I was lucky enough to grow up with a family that enjoyed working outside. There was always something going on! Living on a greenbelt also provided me an opportunity to explore our native fauna as well.

I was also blessed with the fact that a neighbor family, both botanists, was willing to share 'worldly wonders' I recall going to their house to see if 'the boys' could ride bikes or shoot baskets. Many times, they shared with me this plant or that plant. An orchid, succulent, or aroid of some type. While my mind was on 'being a kid', I did take notice and I was unaware of the tremendous influence.

One day, I made the discovery that a business - Species West, was nearby. This was a treasure! Species upon species of orchids - mainly Pleurothallids!! I spent hours in this greenhouse! However, the real treasure was Annette Allison (owner). What a patient, encouraging teacher!!

While many people have helped me with my curiosities, I hope to do the same for you! While a longtime grower, Dub's Botanicals is a new.. hobby/venture! Enjoy perusing these albums and feel free to reach out to me as well. Happy viewing -
